After a very cold winter and rainy spring, I was very excited for summer to arrive. My friends that have been living for years in Vancouver told me that I would have the best summer of my life. This was such a strong statement, and I was a little skeptical about it since I’ve had lots of fun, beautiful summers back in TJ. But they were right. This has been the best summer of my life. Not only for the great weather and all the things you can do around the city, but for realizing that I’m living such an important part of my life. I’m fulfilling my dream of studying animation, I’m surrounded by amazing people, I celebrated my birthday knowing that everything that I’m living in this moment is the result of choosing myself and my dreams as a priority.
Summer solstice
On the Sunday of Summer solstice we went to Wreck Beach, a “clothing optional” beach (o sea bichi si quieres). When we arrived, the beach was almost empty. A lot of people were leaving because the weather was so bad. It was raining but the weather app said it would be sunny in a few hours. After one hour it was still raining. But I was feeling very optimistic. We could see a blue window opening in the horizon. Three hours later the sea was shining, and we were being cuddled by the sun.
HOT SUMMER NIGHTS, MID JULY WHEN YOU AND I WERE FOREVER WILD
(ღ ・ิ◡・ิ)ε ・ิ ღ)
Fridays after class: Beach days with my classmates.
Saturdays: Spontaneous dates.
Sundays: My sacred day. I would only share it with someone as special to me like my friend Flor or I would just enjoy alone time.

For my birthday we went to one of my favorite bars Funky winker beans karaoke. Guess the dress code. Yes. One more year of “pink” outfits. I love creating my own traditions, I’ve been doing this dress code for 6 years, and I decided that this #29 birthday would be the last pink themed. Pink represents my fun, naive, sweet, full of fantasy 20’s. I’m ready to move on and enjoy the last of my pink birthday era.

WUWU SUMMER STICKER SHEET
When creating stickers, I prefer to draw everything by hand and then re-draw on procreate. These stickers are my summer fantasy nostalgia. A mix of my norteña roots, little cowboy hat, boots, wuwus riding dolphins, tecate roja, and my obsession for bikinis, green because its brat summer.
With this edition I intend to (re)start, look for ways of introducing my artwork in Vancouver and also keep myself active in Tijuana. It’s been hard to keep up with both worlds, months ago I decided to give wuwu Tijuana a break. I needed to focus completely on animation and fully experience my new reality here. Now that I feel more confident with all these changes, i’m excited to explore ways of networking and making friends with creative people in Van.
I love the quality of these stickers, they’re vinyl, waterproof, you can use them to decorate your water bottle, notebooks, your phone case, mirror, anywhere you want.
If you are in my beautiful Tijuana, you can get them at Fakap (downtown). If you live in Vancouver or somewhere else, send me an inbox <3
Wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying your summer.
