A few weeks ago I made a promise to myself.
That I would do it.
DO.
Just do whatever I want to do with my art projects and with my life. I promised that I would take myself to higher places.
Wuwu has given me so much, I’ve met a lot of amazing people because of this project, I’ve created connections, and developed a creative practice. Every time I doubt myself or cringe myself it’s like disrespecting all the good things that my art, and art in general has done for me. So here I am… exploring new places. Learning to document my creative life, to tell stories, and learn new skills.
So this is me sharing with you that after overthinking, editing tiny details, and re editing, and overthinking again, I finally published my first youtube vlog: a sketchbook tour!!!
I took a solo day trip last weekend, and that also made me remember how important it is to take adventures. Even very short, small adventures an hour away from my home.
I’m exploring both worlds, giving myself space to exist online, and try to open up more, share more about my art, and challenge myself to break those insecurities.
Same goes for my “real life”, open doors, walk, and see where the sun takes me.
I hope you are using your sketchbooks. All of it, every page, every corner. <3
This came at the perfect timing (: my sketchbook just arrived in the mail with glue. I have been being called to just junk journal and put everything I have into it (: I have SO many “scraps” and digital prints. It’s timeeeee. Thanks for this!
